Optimasi Desain Turbin Pelton Menggunakan 3 Nozzle Dan Variasi Kemiringan Sudu Hingga 15 derajat Menggunakan Metode Taguchi

This research is aims to analyze how much influence the number of nozzle, and the slope of the bucket entering the bucket angle to the blade rotation of the turbine, determine how the optimum composition of these factors to produce maximum pelton turbine performance, calculate how many parameters run parameters on the pelton turbine with 3 nozzle capacity and slope of -150, 00 and 150 blade using taguchi method.

The research used the taguchi method L-9 (33) = 9 method using 9 experiments and the parameters used were the number of Nozzle (N), Nozzle Diameter (m), the slope of the spray angle entering the bucket (.... 0), with each - each level, number of nozzle used 1 nozzle, 2 nozzle, 3 nozzle. The diameter used is 2 inches,1.5 inches, and 1 inch. The slope angle of the -150, 00 and 150 blades. The measured test parameters are the voltage and blade rotation, and the influence of each factor to obtain the optimum variable composition and run parameter points.

Based on the testing and analysis using the Taguchi method, the optimum parameter composition is the number of nozzle 3, nozzle diameter 1.5 inches, blade slope angle 00. From the results of the analysis obtained the influence of each factor number nozzle 781.29, nozzle diameter 800.78 and the slope of the blade 790.12. The power produced by the turbine is 40.24 Volt DC. Running parameters at point 4 with a speed of 13,30 m / s, Hdown to 7.89 m.
