Abstract

The growing production of organic waste each year in Indonesia, especially in the Districts Tegal with the overall waste volume of 989.8 m3/day, it triggered me to examine how much energy is produced by organic waste with percentage of 17% of total waste.By designing a series of anaerobic digestion of biomass generally, previously performed the data analysis as a basic ingredient of laboratory scale experiments to calculate the value of methane gas (CH4), so that it brings the amount of electrical energy is generated, and then applied to an industrial scale.On a scale of laboratory gas methane (CH4) produced was of 0.165 Kg/m3 and converted into electric energy so obtained of 0.587 kW, electric energy produced will serve as waste power plant (PLTSa).
