PENINGKATAN MUTU PRODUK CLOG BERBAHAN POLIVINIL KLORIDA (PVC) DENGAN METODE TAGUCHI

Abstract

Improvement of Clog production quality by using taguchi method done in this research. Clog material in use is plastic type Provinil Clorida (PVC). From the field survey in the defects of the clog in the form of depreciation, and blackdot in large numbers.With the taguchi method through the following parameters, change the temperature of material bhan from 60 degrees Celsius to 62 degrees Celsius, change the nozzle diameter from 4 ml to 4.5 ml, and change the nozzle tip from straight to pointed. This parameter gives signal nois to ratio (SNR) stability characteristic of output quality with size 0,3%. This can decrease defects in the clog from 30% to 0.3%
