Analisis Parameter Operasi Proses Injection Molding pada Material Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS)

One important aspect for the sustainability of a business generally in the manufacturing industry and more specifically on the injection molding industry is a matter of both time and cost efficiency. There is ineffisiensi time and costs on a medium scale enterprise engaged in injection molding process, because when starting a new product creation process parameter settings is done manually. There is a product produced by these companies who will try to be analyzed in terms of process parameters, especially during initial setup to the engine. The analysis was done with the help of software moldflow against products made is: rotary tool given the brand of fishing rod thread spool PLW150, where the material used is Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS). From the results obtained by simulation analysis of a range of operating parameters that can be used as reference. For the product obtained Spool PLW 150 operating parameter settings as follows: melting temperature of material between 2400C to 2700C, mold temperature between 700C  to 800 C, injection pressure between 8.307 MPa to 12.931 MPa, injection time between 0.64 s until 0.87 s, the force suppression (clamping force) between 3.357 tonnes to 4.866 tonnes.
